As Northeast Hikes has evolved, I have become more and more of the mind that I don’t want this site to only represent one person’s viewpoint (aka mine) on hiking in New England and the surrounding regions. Practically speaking, I am only one person, and the trails are many. In addition to Maine and New Hampshire, I’d love for this site to provide coverage of Vermont and Massachusetts, southern New England, and even extend north into the outstanding hiking in Quebec and Nova Scotia. More importantly, though, is the simple fact there are tons of people who love hiking our neck of the woods, many of you with vasts amounts of knowledge and experience to share. It would be foolish—borderline negligent—not to encourage your participation.
If you’ve read this far, chances are your interest is piqued. You may also be wondering what’s in it for you? It’s a fair question. Unfortunately, I cannot offer financial compensation at this time. What I can offer is exposure, and, as cheeky as this sounds, an opportunity to help others. You’ll know you’re a Northeast Hikes contributor if…you’ve ever wanted to write about hiking, but haven’t wanted the time commitment of starting your own blog…you currently have your own blog and want to promote it by guest posting…you’re a college student looking for a creative internship opportunity.
Long story short, if you’re interested in contributing to Northeast Hikes, and you can meet the site’s…how do I say this?…”editorial standards”…I’d love your help. So what are you waiting for? Get the ball rolling by completing the form below.
